This standard presents test methods forscreening the effectiveness of two types ofgypsum scale removers, one for scale dissolvers,and another for scale converters.The test methods described in this standardare static laboratory screening tests designedto measure the ability of chemicals toremove gypsum scale deposits. Test methodsfor screening both gypsum scale dissolversand converters are described. Thisstandard is maintained by Task Group 384.
