Relates to cylindrically-ground and flat-ground roughness comparison specimens intended for comparison with cylindrically-ground and flat-ground surfaces and exhibiting grades of roughness ranging from 1 CLA to 125 CLA. Requirements for dimensions, accuracy and general design are given in Section One, and in addition to the manufacturing requirements and recommendations of Section Two, examples of wheel grades are given in Appendix A (Tables 1 and 2). Notes on the application of the specimens are given in Appendix B.
